Introduction to DJ Type High Angle Belt Conveyor
The DJ type high angle belt conveyor features a flat rubber conveyor belt with free-stretching, corrugated vertical "side cleats" on both sides. Between these cleats, transverse baffles with adequate strength and elasticity are bonded, forming a series of hopper-shaped pockets for continuous material transport.
The sidewall belt conveyor is widely used in industries including coal, grain, building materials, chemicals and metallurgy. It handles bulk materials with a bulk density of 0.5–2.5 t/m³ within an ambient temperature range of -19℃ to +40℃. For materials with special requirements—such as high temperature, acid/alkaline properties, oil-based substances, or organic solvents -- specialized sidewall conveyor belts are required. - The sidewall belt conveyor is a general-purpose continuous conveying equipment for bulk materials, utilizing a belt with corrugated sidewalls and transverse baffles. It is therefore particularly suitable for steep-angle conveying.
- This machine serves industries including coal, chemicals, building materials, metallurgy, power, light industry, grain, ports, and shipyards. It handles bulk materials with a bulk density of 0.5–2.5 t/m³ within an ambient temperature range of -15°C to +40°C.
- For materials with special requirements—such as high temperature, acid/alkaline properties, oil-based substances, or organic solvents—specialized conveyor belts are required.
- The sidewall belt conveyor operates at inclination angles ranging from 0° to 90°.
Layout Form of DJ Type High Angle Belt Conveyor
To optimize material receiving and discharging conditions, this machine adopts a "Z"-shaped layout, consisting of an upper horizontal section, an inclined section, and a lower horizontal section. Material is received at the lower horizontal section and discharged at the upper horizontal section. The upper horizontal section connects to the inclined section via a convex arc frame. The lower horizontal section connects to the inclined section via a concave arc frame, ensuring smooth transition of the conveyor belt.
- Upper Horizontal Section: To accommodate different discharge heights, the head frame is categorized into three types:Low head frame (height H₀ = 1000 mm), paired with a low-type convex arc frame and low-type intermediate frame legs. Medium head frame (height H₀ = 1100–1500 mm), paired with a medium-type convex arc frame and medium-type intermediate frame legs. High head frame (height H₀ = 1600–2000 mm), paired with a high-type convex arc frame and high-type intermediate frame legs.
- Inclined Section: Regardless of the upper horizontal section’s intermediate frame legs (low, medium, or high type), the inclined section always uses low-type intermediate frame legs. For conveyor inclinations β ≥ 45°, Type II low-type intermediate frame legs are recommended.
- Lower Horizontal Section: The lower horizontal section uses low-type intermediate frame legs.

Names and Functions of DJ Type High Angle Belt Conveyor Components
1.Corrugated Sidewall Conveyor Belt: Serves as the traction and load-bearing component of the conveyor. The corrugated sidewalls, transverse baffles, and base belt form a "gate-shaped" container for material transport, enabling steep-angle conveying.
2.Drive Unit: The power component of the conveyor, consisting of a Y-series electric motor, a ZJ-type shaft-mounted gear reducer, and a wedge-type backstop.
3.Drive Pulley: The primary component for power transmission; the conveyor belt runs via friction between itself and the drive pulley. This series includes rubber-lagged and smooth pulleys. Rubber-lagged pulleys increase adhesion between the pulley and the belt.
4.Bend Pulley: Used to change the running direction of the conveyor belt, acting on the underside (non-carrying side) of the belt.
5.Pressure Pulley: Used to change the running direction of the conveyor belt, acting on the top (carrying side) of the belt.
6.Idler: Supports the conveyor belt and materials on it, ensuring stable operation. This series includes upper parallel idlers and lower flat idlers.
7.Carrying Idler: Supports the lower branch of the conveyor belt on convex arc frames, bearing on the empty edges of the sidewall belt. Multiple carrying idlers form an arc section to redirect the belt. They are cantilever-mounted.
8.Vertical Idler: Limits belt deviation and is installed on the upper and lower transition frames. Each transition frame is equipped with 4 vertical idlers, 2 each at the top and bottom.
9.Rapping Wheel Cleaner: Taps the back of the conveyor belt to shake off material adhering to the belt surface.
10.Take-up Device:
Functions include: Providing sufficient belt tension to prevent slippage between the belt and drive pulley; Limiting belt sag between supports to ensure stable conveyor operation.This series adopts a screw take-up device.
11.Frame, Head Chute, Head Guard, Skirtboard, Intermediate Frame, Intermediate Frame Legs, etc.:
Provide support, dust protection, and material guiding functions for the conveyor. This series offers three types of intermediate frame legs: low, medium, and high. The lower horizontal and inclined sections only use low-type intermediate frame legs, while the upper horizontal section uses legs matching the head frame type (low, medium, or high).
Note: Conveyor belts are available in three rubber types: general-purpose, acid/alkali-resistant, and oil-resistant.
